Aldus PageMaker 5.0 Introduction

Course Aims
This course is designed to provide readers with the basics of using Aldus PageMaker in order to give text a professionally typeset appearance. Participants will learn how to combine text with pictures, drawings and other graphics on the screen and then to re-arrange the format to achieve the look required before sending it to the output device or to the printer. There is ample opportunity to learn through practical experience. The course involves hands-on work with a series of specially prepared examples designed to help those involved to become confident in working with Aldus PageMaker.
Assumed Knowledge
A basic understanding of PCs, Windows 3.x and a mouse, plus experience of using a word processor is assumed. Absolute beginners should read a Windows 3.1 User Introduction course first. Whilst experience of desktop publishing itself is not essential, a look at the product documentation would be beneficial.
Course Audience
Intending, new or recent users of PageMaker who want to gain a good understanding of the product in a short space of time. Anyone thinking of purchasing PageMaker 5 who wants to see its capabilities.
